HERSILL | NEWS | UPDATES | 25 NOVEMBER 2022
Last November 16, was the World Day of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), a disease that affects 12% of the population over 40 years of age in Spain. As part of its commitment to all respiratory diseases, HERSILL wanted to join this day to continue raising awareness about it.
Did you know that Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) is a chronic inflammatory lung disease that causes blockage of air flow in the lungs? Symptoms include shortness of breath, coughing, producing mucus (spit), and wheezing, among other things.
Although COPD is a progressive disease that gets worse over time, is treatable, and if properly managed, most people with COPD can achieve good control of symptoms and quality of life, as well as reduce the risk of other associated conditions.
At HERSILL we have oxygen therapy devices that can help improve the quality of life of these people such as our Electronic Oxygen SAver and Respiratory Monitor – OXYMO
You can keep more information about them in our catalogues
