Every 1 March, International Civil Protection Day is celebrated to honour the men and women who work in civil protection organizations around the world, dedicated to preventing and reducing natural disasters and other emergencies.
According to the Head of State, civil protection is “an instrument of public security policy; it is the public service that protects people and property by guaranteeing an adequate response to the various types of emergencies and catastrophes caused by natural causes or resulting from human action, whether accidental or intentional.”
