HERSILL | NEWS | CSR | LOCAL SOCIAL ACTION | 12 APRIL 2023
Last February the Spanish Red Cross – Mostoles (Madrid) handed us the activity report detailing the destination of our donation to the project Urgent Attention to Basic Needs.
For the third consecutive year, Hersill made a donation of €5,000 destined to the most disadvantaged groups of the city, a fact for which the Red Cross Móstoles recognized it as a solidarity company in 2022, which also materialized in the purchase of the Christmas lottery and other solidarity actions.
The donation we made to the Red Cross in 2022 was entirely intended for the purchase of food through economic deliveries. Sometimes deliveries are accompanied by workshops on healthy eating and efficient shopping. The financial handover also makes it easier to take full advantage of the aid, since it is purchased according to the food needs of the family.
Since they are all users of Mostoles, the purchases have all taken place in the city, many of them in small shops, so the donation has had a direct impact on the movement of the local economy.
The Urgent Attention to Basic Needs project, which aims to alleviate the vulnerable situation of the people participating in the project, to this end, the Red Cross in Móstoles offers comprehensive care that includes individualized intervention to group intervention, incorporating the provision of assistance to cover the basic needs of the people cared for.
One of the objectives of this project is to help strengthen the capacities of persons in situations of extreme vulnerability or social exclusion, and to curb the precariousness of the living conditions of vulnerable individuals and families as a result of the situation of poverty that has arisen.
Thanks to this project, 445 people have been helped and some 377 have benefited indirectly, including relatives and cohabitants. In addition, a total of 613 services (not only financial) and a total of 2,691 interventions (such as workshops, guidance, etc.) were delivered.
Thank you Red Cross for your solidarity work!
