Hersill joins UNICEF Spain’s SME-Friendly programme, thus committing to collaborate with UNICEF to promote together with its clients and employees the defense of the rights of the most vulnerable children around the world.
Benjamín Herranz, President of Hersill, and Ignacio Domínguez, President of UNICEF Spanish Committee, recently signed the agreement between the two organizations and stressed the importance of involving small and medium-sized enterprises in this type of collaboration for children.
The president of UNICEF in the Community of Madrid, recalled that the success of this innovative programme lies in the fact that SMEs themselves become protagonists of social change and the promotion of children’s rights.
Friendly SMEs is a UNICEF Spain programme specially designed for small and medium-sized enterprises, professional associations and other groups in the private sector. Thanks to the combined efforts of the organizations participating in this programme, the impact of their collaboration is increasing, enabling UNICEF Spain to protect and promote children who need it most.
Hersill’s 2021 grant will go to the ’Schools for Africa’ education programme, a global initiative of which UNICEF is a part, aimed at ensuring quality education and making real changes in the lives of children on the African continent.
